We didn’t do too much in Nara outside of the deer. Everything was closing around 5 pm. It seems like a bedroom community tbh! I can’t think of anything to recommend. We did have a pretty tasty sweet potato there!

Osaka is lots of fun! You need to go see a Tigers game, I promise you that you’ll love it even if you are not into sports. My wife who was annoyed that we were going to two ball games said it was so much fun.
